Lockheed Martin will continue to provide in-service support (ISS) for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s (RCAF) C-130J Super Hercules fleet, under a $504.3m contract extension.

The latest extension will allow Lockheed to continue to supply all performance-based logistics supporting the operations, sustainment and maintenance related with the RCAF’s fleet of 17 C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.

Lockheed collaborates with several Canadian aerospace companies, including Cascade, IMP, CAE, Standard Aero and Sonovision to support ISS-related work.

Similar investments equal to the value of the contract will also be made in Canada, under the country’s Industrial and Technological Benefits Policy.

The C-130J Super Hercules tactical airlifter is currently in service with 68 countries.

To date, Lockheed Martin has delivered more than 2,500 C-130s worldwide, which have completed more than 1.3 million operational flight hours.
