Technica has received a NETCENTS – 2 Network Operations Small Business task order from the US Air Force (USAF) to support next-generation weapons testing programme.

Valued at $22m, the contract requires the company to provide airborne networking; systems, processes and operations; and network defence to support cyber-readiness and cybersecurity to the Combined Air Operations Center-Experimental (CAOC-X) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, US.

The CAOC-X is involved in the testing of next-generation weapons and operating systems that are deployed across air, space, joint and combined air operations centres globally.

Under the contract, Technica will work on improving operational efficiency, as well as bring several new innovations that will uphold and improve mission assurance.

Work under the contract includes the modernisation of data storage infrastructure with enhanced virtualised capability, as well as standardising system management processes for more efficient and effective reporting.

The company will also provide predictive data analytics to mitigate cyber vulnerabilities and provide end-to-end enterprise intelligence.
