The AIDEWS systems to be produced under the contract will be delivered to the customers of the US Air Force’s electronic combat international security assistance programme (ECISAP).

The US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has awarded a two-year contract modification worth $39.78m to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. for work on the extended range version of the MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle.

"Scheduled to be complete in December next year, the contract covers engine sustainment activities such as labour and technical support."

The modification covers manufacturing, delivery and installation of retrofit kits for the MQ-9 Extended Range drones.

Information Sciences Institute, a part of University of Southern California, has been contracted by the US Air Force in support of the Ptychography-based Rapid Imaging of Nano-Structures with Multi-layer Assemblies (PRISMA) effort.

The contractual work is scheduled to be completed in January 2022.
