The simulator, with four trainee positions for local control, ground control, flight data and radar control, will facilitate both individual and team training in the control tower disciplines.

"ATC simulators are designed to provide air traffic controllers with a realistic hands-on practise that provide proficiency training to assist controllers in achieving and maintaining their certifications."

Its comprehensive instructor operating station (IOS) is said to provide instructors with complete pseudo-pilot functionality and the capability to control and modify the running scenario.

The MaxSim TSS also features scenario generation tools to create, edit and save training scenarios.

According to the company, the tower visual system will have seven high-definition displays, in addition to auxiliary information data displays such as an independent ground visual channel, airfield lighting control panels, weather and wind displays, and surface movement detection systems.
