Harris has received a contract from Warner Robins Air Logistics Center to supply electronic warfare systems to the Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF).
Under the $91m contract, Harris will supply AN/ALQ-211 advanced integrated defensive electronic warfare suite (AIDEWS) systems to protect the RMAF F-16 aircraft fleet against current and evolving electronic threats.

Harris Electronic Systems president Ed Zoiss said: “AIDEWS’ integrated radar warning and RF countermeasures defend against modern sophisticated electronic threats.
“Harris is committed to rapidly fielding this proven capability to support the Royal Moroccan Air Force’s pilots and enable their mission.”
The combat-ready ALQ-211(V)4 EW system is a low-risk, modular solution that provides internal, fully integrated radar warning and radio frequency countermeasures capabilities and mission-based adaptability, Harris said in a statement.
The AN/ALQ-211 is a pod-based solution that supports fighter aircraft during a variety of missions such as close air support, battlefield area interdiction, strike, and suppression of enemy air defences or defence interceptor.

The contract also covers the supply of spares and support equipment and services to Morocco.
The air forces of Oman, Chile, Poland, Turkey, Pakistan and others have also selected the AIDEWS, which can either be integrated internally or pod-mounted for a variety of fighter aircraft.
