The Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced that the tests and adoption of the Su-35S fighter are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The units of the Russian Aerospace Forces are conducting operational and tactical tests of more than 50 aircraft.

Russian Deputy Defence Minister Yury Borisov said: "Airmen who operate the Su-35S in the Syrian Arab Republic highly appreciate the quality of aircraft and its combat and operational characteristics."
The Sukhoi Su-35 has an improved airframe, which is said to increase its service life to 6,000 hours.
Developed by MNPK Avionika Moscow-based Research and Production Association, the new integrated control system helps perform functions of several systems such as remote and automatic control, limiting signals system, air signals system, and chassis wheels braking mode simultaneously.
This system is said to improve the fighter’s handling capability and manoeuvrability.

By GlobalDataThe Su-35’s information management system (IMS) integrates functional, logical, informational and software subsystems into a single complex that ensures the interaction between the crew and equipment.
The IMS includes two central digital computers, information devices, and an indication system built on the ‘all-glass cockpit’ concept.
Works on the T-50 are also being carried out as per the schedule and the aircraft has already confirmed a number of flight-and-tactical characteristics.
The flight tests of the T-50 with new engines are expected to begin later this year.
