“We are honoured to be awarded the opportunity to move on to Phase II of this important SBIR initiative, which has significant potential to enhance intelligence activities.”

Through this contract, the service intends to ensure intelligence analysts have access to capabilities such as facial recognition, detection of objects and illicit content such as extremist speech, as well as highly accurate automatic speech recognition, machine translation and transcription.

The key objective of the project is to leverage VideoJuicer’s capabilities to turn large volumes of data into actionable insights and accelerate the delivery of intelligence to troops.

According to 25th AF Advanced Programs Operations Dr Denis Delaney, the partnership between IDenTV and 25th AF will ‘provide the USAF with computer vision tools to enable analysts to accomplish twice as much work in half the time with a high level of confidence and accuracy’.

IDenTV Federal Project manager Nikki Maquindang said: “We are honoured to be awarded the opportunity to move on to Phase II of this important SBIR initiative, which has significant potential to enhance intelligence activities for the Twenty-Fifth Air Force.

“Such a highly innovative technology as computer vision holds great promise for strengthening national security, providing the unprecedented ability to quickly and accurately extract and analyse large volumes of digitised images and sounds.”

25th AF is the USAF’s primary intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance organisation that provides support to air, space, and cyber defence capabilities.
