The US Air Force’s air mobility command will conduct Air Mobility RODEO 2009, an air mobility competition between 19 and 25 July 2009.

The biennial competition aims at developing and improving techniques and procedures to enhance air mobility operations.

More than 100 teams including forces of allied nations such as the Indian Air Force, the Royal Malaysian Air Force and Hungarian Air Force, and the US Air Force Reserve and US Air National Guard will participate in the competition.

RODEO 2009 will include readiness, airdrops, aerial refuelling and other events showcasing the capabilities of forces.

The exercise will improve cooperation between air mobility forces among participating nations, said the US Air Force.
