The US Air Force is retiring four T-37 Tweet aircraft from the Sheppard Air Base. The two models of the training aircraft — T-37A and T-37B — have been in service since 1957 and have trained over 78,000 US Air Force pilots. The T-37B flew its final training mission on 17 June
The T-37B flew its final training mission on 17 June 2009.
The four aircraft will be delivered to the aerospace maintenance and regeneration group also known as the aircraft bone yard at the US Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.
