The Indonesian Military (TNI) will construct an air defence radar station at the Timika Air Force Base in Papua province to enhance its early warning system and protect against possible attacks from other countries.
The survey on the radar site project will begin on 25 August 2009, construction is expected to begin in 2011, while the station will be operational a year later.
