The US Air Force has awarded a $680m contract to L-3 Communications to provide support services for the T-1A Jayhawk’s contractor logistics support (CLS) programme.
The T-1A Jayhawk is a medium-range twin-engined jet aircraft currently in service with the US Air Force for advanced undergraduate pilot training.

Under the eight-year contract the company will manage the overall programme of T-1A CLS including logistics, material supply support, and repair overhaul services for 179 T-1A aircraft based at different air force bases across the US.
L-3 Systems Field Support president Ed Gloviak said the company had also partnered with Hawker Beechcraft and Pratt & Whitney to continue providing uninterrupted contractor logistics support for the T-1A fleet.
