With this order, the Egyptian Air Force will be able to renew its capabilities and support its own air defence needs and coalition operations.

The industry team for the sale will include Lockheed, Boeing, Northrop, Raytheon and BAE.

The DSCA observes that the implementation of this proposed sale will require multiple trips to Egypt involving US Government and contractor representatives for technical reviews and support, programme management and training over a period of 15 years.
