The Eurofighter programme is partnered by Germany, Italy, the UK and Spain and the aircraft is used by their air forces.

The Euro RADAR consortium, which includes SELEX Galileo, EADS and Indra Sistemas will design, develop and manufacture the multimode Captor radar.

The EuroDASS team, made up of SELEX Galileo, Elettronica and Indra Sistemas will build and supply the Praetorian integrated defence system that ensures the survival of the aircraft in difficult operations.

The EuroFIRST consortium will undertake the design and development of the PIRATE infrared system that detects and tracks potential threats, and provides the FLIR image.

SELEX will also develop the avionics equipment for the cockpit display, navigation, and weapons management and flight control systems at its facilities in Italy and the UK.

SELEX has worked with BAE Systems and the UK, German, Italian and Spanish defence ministries to provide an integrated logistics support service for the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft, to reduce its maintenance and repair costs.
