The US has unveiled new-generation F-15 fighter jets ordered by the Singaporean Air Force at its Mountain Home Air Force Base.
The air force has ordered for 24 F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jets from the US that will be delivered to Singapore from April 2010.

The aircraft are currently based at the US base and RSAF pilots and ground crew are being trained there.
US Air Force secretary Michael Donley said that having the F-15 detachment here provides for mutual training and interoperability opportunities.
“We have always valued the strategic partnerships with Asia and this is just another expression of that mutual commitment to interoperability in Asia Pacific,” he said.
