Iran has successfully tested the first indigenously developed radar-evading aircraft, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and moving towards starting mass production.

Lieutenant commander of the Iranian Army Air Force general Aziz Nasirzadeh said a prototype of the aircraft named Sofreh Mahi (flatfish) has successfully passed all radar-evading tests, according to the Fars News Agency.

The Defence Ministry will now begin the next phase, which includes mounting and testing weapons and a number of systems on the aircraft, before beginning production.
