The US Department of Defense’s Air Force Materiel Command has awarded an aircraft maintenance support contract to URS Corporation.

Under the $46m contract, URS will provide aircraft maintenance support to the 402nd Aircraft Maintenance Group at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA.

The two-year task order has been awarded under URS’s contract field teams (CFT) indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract.

URS will perform maintenance, modification, inspection and repair of cargo and fighter aircraft such as the C-5, C-17, C-130 and F-15.

The 402nd Maintenance Wing provides depot maintenance, engineering support and software development to F-15 Eagle, C-5 Galaxy, C-130 Hercules, C-17 Globemaster III and special operations forces aircraft.

The Air Force Materiel Command conducts research, development, testing and evaluation, and provides the acquisition management services and logistics support necessary to keep air force weapon systems ready for use.
