Delivery of three similar refuelling aircraft is expected by June this year. The craft will enhance the effectiveness and capability of the air force in defending the country’s airspace.

High Mark 2010 is spread over the entire country from Skardu in the north to the Arabian Sea in the south.

The exercise has been tailored to include manoeuvres with the army and navy to enhance the ability to conduct joint operations by the services.

The Ilyushin Il-78 is a four-engined aerial refuelling tanker based on the Il-76.
