The Indian Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) will receive final operational clearance (FOC) after it receives initial operational clearance in December 2011.
Following the receipt of FOC, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited will approach the Indian Air Force (IAF) for supply orders and the delivery schedule.
The indigenously designed and developed LCH is in the 5.5t category and includes a narrow fuselage and tandem seat configuration for pilot and co-pilot with a glass cockpit.
The LCH made its inaugural flight on 29 March 2010.
