The US Air Force (USAF) has awarded a $203m contract modification to Rolls-Royce to provide engine support services for C-130 transport aircraft.

The MissionCare contract covers propulsion system services for C-130J aircraft flown by the USAF, US Air Force Training Command, Air National Guard, US Air Force Reserve and US Air Force Special Operations Command.

The agreement includes the provision of logistics and programme management support, engineering services, spares and technical data for the propulsion system.

The deal covers AE 2100D3 engines – the military variant of the Rolls-Royce AE 2100 – and Dowty R-391 propellers.
