Airbus Military has delivered the second A330 MRTT new generation tanker/transport to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) at RAAF base Amberley in Queensland, Australia.

The A330 MRTT aircraft, designated as KC-30A, will be equipped with two underwing refuelling pods, the fly-by-wire Airbus Military Aerial Refuelling Boom System (ARBS), and a Universal Aerial Refuelling Receptacle Slipway Installation (UARRSI).

The aircraft is powered by two General Electric CF6-80E engines.

The third aircraft for the RAAF will be delivered later this year, followed by the fourth at the end of the year and the fifth and final aircraft to be delivered next year.
