The Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) modified C-130H legacy aircraft has been awarded a military type certification from the Netherlands Military Aviation Authority.

The modified aircraft were delivered to the RNLAF in 2010 and since then, the RNLAF has carried out an intensive Operational Test and Evaluation (OTE) phase.

The OTE phase has been successfully conducted to ensure that the aircraft and its systems capabilities meet required and expected performance which led to the certification.

Marshall Aerospace designed the modifications to the aircraft by integrating specifically developed systems and commercial-off-the-shelf equipment.

The modifications include new cabin safety improvement, platforms and systems and integrated ground testing of rigs on aircraft.
