The US Air Force (USAF) has awarded a modification contract to CAE as part of the original KC-135 Aircrew Training System (ATS) contract.

Under the contract, the company will provide a range of upgrades to a total of 11 KC-135 operational flight trainers (OFTs).

The upgrades are intended to enhance simulator reliability and maintainability, as well as ensure concurrency with the actual aircraft.

The USAF has also exercised an option under the original contract to provide aircrew training services for the second year.

CAE is the prime contractor on the KC-135 ATS programme.
