Safran has been selected by Embraer to provide electrical power distribution systems and integration for the Brazilian Air Force KC-390 military transport aircraft.

Under the contract, the company will supply the primary electrical power distribution system (PEPDS), and the secondary power distribution system (SPDS) for the aircraft.

The company will also provide the electrical power system (EPS) integration for the whole aircraft.

Safran has also supplied key landing systems and the emergency electrical power generation system (EEPGS) for the KC-390 programme.

The Embraer KC-390 is a twin-engine, medium-lift military transport aircraft designed to perform troop and cargo transport, aerial delivery, in-flight refuelling and medical evacuation missions.
