Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has been awarded a contract by an undisclosed foreign customer to supply its next-generation EHUD autonomous air combat manoeuvring instrumentation (AACMI) system.

Under the $35m contract, the company will supply the system to improve joint training capabilities for air, ground and naval forces.

The new EHUD system features wireless communication with aircraft avionic systems, new simulation concepts, flexible data link, greater processing power and enhanced data security.

The system is designed to assist future concepts of military training including complex weapon systems and distributed mission-training through live, virtual and constructive (LVC) simulations.

The EHUD AACMI system is used by numerous Nato countries for real-time, autonomous air-to-air and air-to-ground combat training and debriefing missions.
