NGRAIN has received a contract from the Department of National Defence (DND) to develop Virtual Task Trainer (VTT) solutions for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).

Under the contract, the company will provide VTTs for the CC-138 Twin Otter aircraft that will be integrated with the Air Force Integrated Information Learning Environment (AFIILE).

The software-based solution will allow the pilot to become familiar with the new automated systems and operations of the aircraft, which is undergoing a life extension programme including an avionics suite upgrade.

The solution enables instructors and students to access 3D training solutions from any geographic location as well as enhance practicing procedures and troubleshooting on the aircraft.
