Harris has received a contract for providing enterprise IT support services to the US North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and the US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM).
The $46m firm fixed performance-based task order includes a one year performance period and three one-year options, as part of the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 70.

Under the contract, the company will provide IT planning, projects and design, testing and validation, component installation, diagnostics and repair, enterprise network management, hardware and software procurement, technical refresh, and management, network, systems, and storage administration services.
Additional responsibilities include the provision of enterprise network and security operations, telecommunications, configuration control and management, enterprise modelling and simulation, video teleconferencing, information assurance/computer network defence, service desk, user training, internet applications and support for national special security events.
Ted Hengst, Harris vice president, chief information officer and IT services president, said: "Harris will deliver expert IT systems and network integration support that balances industry best practices and an understanding of the North American Air Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command staffs’ requirements for mission success."
