VSE Corporation’s (VSEC) International Group has received a contract from the US Air Force (USAF) to continue the delivery of support services for the Pacific Air Force’s (PACAF) Command pre-positioned equipment programme.

Awarded through VSE’s General Services Administration (GSA) Logistics Worldwide (LOG WORLD) schedule, the firm fixed price (FFP) contract has a maximum potential value of more than $13.1m for a five-year performance period.

Under the contract, the company will provide management and technical support services to the PACAF Air Logistics Operations Center (PACAF/ALOC), located in Guam, Korea and Hawaii, US.

Commenting on the award, VSEC International Group president Harry Flammang said the company will deliver support services for the maintenance, storage, and reconstitution of the Base Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR) programme assets within the PACAF area of operations.

The company has successfully managed approximately 400 increments of BEAR assets in Guam since 2004, and is also looking to continue the support in the near future, Flammang added.

The areas of support primarily include project and product management, product assurance and testing, product planning, technical engineering and logistics support services.

Previously called Harvest Falcon and Harvest Eagle, the BEAR programme aims to provide the air force personnel with enhanced mobility and strike capability in austere locations through effective management of aircraft, weapons, runways and other related equipment.

The programme is managed by the Air Force Installation and Logistics’ Directorate of Resources Combat Support Division (USAF/ILPR).
