Deals this week: SAIC, Grob Aircraft, Technica Corporation


Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) has won an $86m task order to provide the US Air Force with subject matter expertise.

The Strategic Plans and Policy Support Services task order includes a one-year base period and four 12-month optional periods.

The majority of the contractual work will be performed in Washington, D.C., while the remaining will be performed at Air Force stations across the world.

German aircraft maker Grob Aircraft has selected United Technologies Corporation’s subsidiary, Pratt & Whitney, for the supply of PT6A-67A engine.

The engine will be used by Grob Aircraft for its G520NG reconnaissance aircraft.

Technica Corporation has received a $40.82m-worth task order to provide the US Air Force with information technology services under the NETCENTS-2 Network Operations and Infrastructure Solutions contract.

The contractual work includes one-year base period and four one-year option periods.

Dassault Aviation has been selected by the French defense procurement agency DGA to overhaul 55 Mirage 2000D nuclear attack aircraft operational with the French Air Force.

The work will include modifications to Mirage 2000D’s Mica missiles, weapon systems and gun pod.
