Indonesia will receive three additional Sukhoi jet fighters from Russia in September 2010, according to Indonesian Air Force chief Marshal Imam Sufaat.

Sufaat said the fighter jets would arrive on 11 September 2010, earlier initially scheduled, but in stages and not all together, according to Xinhua News Agency.

The air force will receive two of the three SU-27SKM aircraft early next month, and another in the third week of September.

The Sukhois will arrive at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport for assembly and a flight test.

Indonesia previously purchased four Sukhoi in 2003 and six more in 2007 from Russia.
