Boeing Company has secured a $30m-worth contract to provide life cycle support services to the US Air Force’s (USAF) Small Diameter Bomb I weapon system up to June 2019.

Awarded by the US Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, US, the deal covers ancillary engineering and technical, test, production, and logistical support.

Lockheed Martin has secured a contract to supply 130 Legion Pod systems for the USAF's F-15C tactical fighter aircraft fleet.

Legion Pod will be installed as the infrared search and track (IRST) system aboard the F-15C fleet to detect and track airborne threats in radar-denied conditions.

The system features the IRST21 infrared sensor and advanced data processing capabilities.
