Eight Pakistani Air Force (PAF) pilots have completed training on block 52 F-16 C/D model aircraft at the international F-16 training unit in Arizona, US.

The batch will now operate the new block 52 F-16 C/D aircraft recently purchased by the PAF and impart similar training to other pilots.

A multirole fighter, the block 52 F-16 is more advanced than the F-16 A/B currently in use by the PAF.

It will allow the air force to conduct night operations and significantly enhance use of precision munitions.

During the seven-month training, the pilots undertook a fighter conversion course on the F-16C/D, flight lead upgrade training and instructor pilot certification.
