The US Air Force has awarded a contract to Telos to establish a second-generation wireless local area network (2G WLAN) at its bases around the world.
Under the $19m task order, Telos will integrate with existing wireless installations as well as sites that have no wireless coverage.
The project includes site surveys, design of both core and expansion wireless networks, components procurement, delivery of sustainment services, engineering studies and provision of on-site training.
The Air Force’s Electronic Systems Center, Cyber Integration Division Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts, US, awarded the contact through the network centric solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle.
