Notably, Architecture and Engineering Occupations jobs accounted for a 23% share of the Mexican’s aerospace, defence and security industry new job postings in Q1 2023, up by 57% over the prior quarter.
Architecture and Engineering Occupations drive aerospace, defence and security hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Architecture and Engineering Occupations, which accounted for 23% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were up by 26% year-on-year. Second highest were Production Occupations, which accounted for 15% and rise by 78% year-on-year, and third highest were Computer and Mathematical Occupations, which were 20% of the new job postings and 39% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in aerospace, defence and security accounted for 85% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Raytheon Technologies with 151, followed by GE Aviation with 38, while the highest increase was at Safran at 76%.
