Stäubli Electrical Connectors provides technological solutions for the connector (fluid and electrical), robotics, and textile industries.

Our electrical connector portfolio ranges from miniature connectors up to high-power connectors for power transmission, test and measurement, transportation and many other industries. The core of all Stäubli electrical connectors is the unique Multilam contact technology.

Hydraulic and pneumatic connections for defence applications

Stäubli’s portfolio features hydraulic and pneumatic connectors and contact systems for defence technology, along with customised solutions for signal, power and data transfer.

Connector systems are suitable for air, sea and land-based applications, and are lightweight, compact and vibration-resistant. They meet the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) standard DO-160 for airborne equipment, as well as other international requirements of the defence industry.

Flexible modular connector systems for customised solutions

Stäubli’s CombiTac provides versatile connections that can be customised for specific client applications.

Due to its modularity, CombiTac comprises power, signal, thermocouple, coaxial, fibre-optic, pneumatic, hydraulic and bus connections in a compact frame or housing.

Cliplam and fork connectors for busbar electrical connections

Stäubli’s slide-inline offerings are designed to create pull-out electrical connections between two systems of double-pole insulated busbars.

Cliplam system is a rackable connector for laminated busbars, which can be easily attached to silver-plated busbars of thicknesses between 2mm and 5mm by two clips. The electrical contact is established by the Stäubli Multilam contact elements, which form independent lines of current.

Stäubli also offers American standard fork connectors for 1in busbars and different lengths to allow for a variety of power handling capabilities. The system can be used by machine manufacturers that require power connections to be made with modules that slide into a cabinet or busbar.

Lightweight electrical contacts and high-performance power connectors

Stäubli power connectors can be used in a wide range of applications, such as power generation and distribution, rack and panel. We also offer lightweight electrical contacts from AWG26 to AWG0000 that can be customised according to various applications.

We additionally supply a multi-pole connector, TBC, which has a compact design and high tolerance level to hydrocarbon compounds such as fossil fuels, ensuring an efficient, dependable and shock-resistant connection.

Copper alloy Multilam technology for electrical and mechanical constraints

Our products use advanced Multilam contact technology.

Multilams are specially formed, resilient strips of copper alloy that are float-mounted in a groove. These strips can be gold or silver-plated according to their intended application. Their spring action has a self-cleaning effect on the contact surfaces, as well as maintaining a constant contact pressure.

Stäubli’s Multilam technology allows us to meet a wide range of requirements and find solutions for the most challenging constraints such as electrical, from watts to mega watts, thermal up to 400°C, and mechanical, with contact durability of up to one million mating cycles.

Stäubli specialises in the design and manufacture of dynamic rotary and linear sliding contacts with high resistance to shock and vibration.
