In September, GomSpace partnered with Airbus Defence and Space to improve space-based aircraft surveillance.

Both the companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect as Airbus Defence and Space intends to create the ‘Airbus Surveillance Digital Eco-System’ fusing space and ground data to provide global, near real-time data to track every aircraft.

Under the terms of the MoU, the companies will explore and initiate activities to allow GomSpace’s technology with nanosatellite-based flight tracking to be used for the new Airbus Eco-System.
