Boeing Defence Australia will continue to provide engineering support services to the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF) fleet of F/A-18A/B Hornet aircraft, under a new contract.
The $1.5m contract has been awarded by the Tactical Fighter Systems Program Office (TFSPO) at RAAF Base Williamtown.

Under the 30-month contract, Boeing will deliver repair plans for faults found during F/A-18A/B Hornet maintenance.
According to the new agreement, the engineering services will now be delivered under Boeing Defence Australia’s authorised engineering organisation (AEO) certificate.
Boeing has provided engineering support services to the TFSPO for the past six years.
The company will also continue to perform Hornet upgrade phase 2.3, which is expected to be complete in 2012.
