The Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF) has successfully tested an anti-radar system using its Sadaf and Miraj fighter jets during manoeuvres in the Straight of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman.

Imperial Iranian Air Force officer Navid Shayani said the Miraj was an interceptor fighter equipped with an air-to-air missile system, according to the Tehran Times.

Equipped with the system, Sadaf fighters can identify all radio and radar signals in all frequencies to obtain enemy information, Shayani said.

During the exercise, the aircraft successfully evaded the hypothetical enemy’s guided missiles by using special domestically manufactured missiles that disrupt enemy radar systems.
