The Iranian Air Force has successfully test fired its laser Sokho-24 missile, Iranian air force lieutenant commander general Seyed Mohammad Alavi has said.

“Our experts have revived important capabilities of the Sukhoi-24, including its laser missiles, radar-guided air-to-ground missiles and long-range missiles,” he added.

Sokho-24 is a strategic supersonic all-weather fighter jet with upgraded electronic warfare systems for improved performance during night operations.

The air force is also planning to test fire the long-range radar-guided high-precision missiles from the Su-24 fighter bomber in the near future.
