

Under the sale, the Government of the Republic of Korea (ROK) seeks to receive 89 AGM-65G-2 Maverick missiles, missile containers and other related elements of support.
The AGM-65 Maverick is a tactical, air-to-ground missile that can be used for defence suppression, close air support and interdiction missions.
This precision-guided weapon is compatible for use with 25 jet fighter aircraft types, including F-16, A-10 and F-15E.
The ROK also requested for 60 AIM-9X-2 Sidewinder Block II all-up-round missiles and six AIM-9X-2 Block II tactical guidance units.
The AIM-9X is a short-range, infrared air-to-air missile that is currently in service with more than 40 countries across the world.
The sale also covers containers, spares and missile support, US Government and contractor technical assistance, and other related elements of logistics support.
