Avcorp Industries has secured a contract from Boeing for the production and supply of 767-2C panoramic camera fairings to support the KC-46 tanker programme.

As part of the new development, Avcorp will assemble shipsets of panoramic camera fairings, which includes large and complex composites and metallic components, into a fully integrated assembly in the Avcorp Delta facility.

The fully integrated fairings will later attach directly to the 767-2C fuselage and will be delivered direct to the final assembly line in Everett, Washington.

"We are proud that our supply partnership with Boeing continues to provide us with opportunities to contribute on yet another key platform with Boeing."

Avcorp Industries CEO Peter George said: "This new contract underscores the importance of our long-standing supply partnership with Boeing.

Developed from the Boeing 767-200ER, the US Air Force’s (USAF) KC-46 is a military aerial refuelling and strategic transport aircraft, designed to replace the USAF’s ageing fleet of KC-135 Stratotankers.

The USAF is scheduled to take delivery of the first of 18 KC-46 aircraft in 2017 and will continue until 2028.

For more than 20 years, the company has been producing and delivering Boeing with various aircraft components, including 737 wheel well fairings, 737 wing tip panels, metal bond partition panels for various Boeing aircraft and CH-47 Chinook Helicopter cockpit nose enclosure assemblies and tunnel covers.
