Information systems provider SecureCloud+ has received a contract from the British Royal Air Force (RAF) to deliver network collaboration services for Team Tempest, a collaboration between the UK Government and industry partners.

Team Tempest includes the Royal Air Force Rapid Capability Office (RCO), BAE Systems, Rolls Royce, MBDA and Leonardo.

With the contract, SecureCloud+ has become the only small and medium-sized enterprise to be part of the team formed to support the UK Government’s defence modernisation plans.

SecureCloud+ founder and CEO Peter Williamson said: “We have a proven track record of delivering defence contracts on time and on budget using modern technologies to promote better communications. Our innovation and agility are critical components to rapidly build and develop greater collaboration.

“We are pleased to support Team Tempest and the vision for the future combat air system technology initiative. This contract reinforces our commitment to innovation. And it is not just about secure collaboration; it is also about managing digital assets across industries to remove barriers to sharing and building trusted teamwork.”

“BAE Systems will contribute advanced combat air systems and integration, and Rolls-Royce will provide power and propulsion systems.”

In July last year, stakeholders in Team Tempest signed a contract to develop a next-generation combat air system capable of operating from 2040.
