Raytheon Technologies company Collins Aerospace Systems has secured orders for the supply of 20 new Griffin-2 visual display systems (VDS).

The updated VDS will launch with two fast-jet programmes, which have not been disclosed, in the Asia-Pacific region.

The company will deliver the 20 systems over the next five years. It will also offer continued support until 2030.

Griffin-2 builds on the company’s original Griffin rear-projected dome, which has been serving as a 360⁰ immersive training system for over ten years.

Featuring an open architecture, Griffin-2 offers ultra-high resolution, brightness and contrast training experience for military fast jets.

The VDS can be used with different projector types, as well as provide ease of modification and upgrade to meet the requirements of exercises.
