US-based Adama Technologies is nearing completion of the drag brace production for the US Air Force’s (USAF) F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft.

The current project, which has been under contract for nearly 14 months, is scheduled to be completed in the next two months.

Adama Technologies president Harold Tanner said: “This is a fairly substantial contract and having the job completed will mean a sizeable influx of revenue for the company that can be put to work as we are continuing to bid additional contracts and expand our client base.”

In February last year, the company commenced production on the F-16 drag brace, which is part of the landing gear assembly for the fighter jet.

Tanner added: “Our company has really worked itself into a niche market where we have truly become experts at production of the entire landing gear assembly and all of the related components.

“This level of expertise and familiarity, along with the fact that we have been in business for more than 50 years, has really separated us and allows us to have a recognisable name in the defence and aerospace industries.”

In a separate development, the company said that it has started production of landing gear components for the USAF’s B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber in April.

Under the contract, Adama Technologies is responsible for positioning control cams that are part of the main landing gear assembly for the B-52 aircraft.

The company also announced that it is in the final stages of manufacturing landing gear components for the USAF F-15 aircraft.
