The latest aircraft lighting development from Oxley Group is the launch of a new PAR 64 LED sealed beam replacement lamp.
The high-intensity lamp is specifically designed as a replacement for the Q4559X and Q4559 lamp units and offers much greater reliability than halogen technology with a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 7,000 hours (airborne rotary winged) and 12,000 hours (airborne uninhabited cargo). This far exceeds the performance of existing technology and reduces both physical waste and maintenance requirements; minimising aircraft on the ground (AOG) time.
High ‘through life’ cost savings are delivered by the Oxley lamp as there is no future requirement to replace bulbs and also offers savings through a reduced power consumption of just 140W DC. Oxley also provides a five-year warranty on the lamp.
The light is incredibly bright, delivering a peak intensity of 600,000cd, with aluminium housing and a matt black anodised finish. The unit weighs just 983g but still offers a robust and reliable solution.
To see the lamp and talk to a member of the Oxley team about any requirements, please visit Stand F52 at the AP&M show on the 27 and 28 May at the Grand Hall, Olympia, London, or visit Oxley at the Paris Airshow from 15 June in Hall 4, Stand G41.
