The Government of Japan has requested a $1.9 billion sale of GPS-capable, KC-46A military aerial refuelling aircraft from the US.

The request also includes electronic equipment, training and support services.

Boeing Corporation will manufacture the aircraft, while the equipment will be supplied by Raytheon Company and Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Lockheed Martin has won a $395 million contract to build ninth and tenth Global Positioning System III satellites for the US Air Force.

The GPS constellation is operated by the second Space Operations Squadron of the US Air Force Space Command.

The US Air Force has awarded a contract modification to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company for the sustainment of the F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft.

The modification will allow Lockheed Martin to perform depot overhaul and maintenance activities for the aircraft’s electronics systems through to July 2021.

DynCorp International has won a $21.78 million contract modification from the US Air Force for the procurement of spare parts for T-6 A/B turboprop aircraft.

"Lockheed Martin has won a $395 million contract to build ninth and tenth Global Positioning System III satellites for the US Air Force."

The spares will be used for T-6 A/B fleet operational with the US Navy and the US Air Force.

The contractual work is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2018.

ASRC Communications will perform base operation support services at Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma, US, as part of a one-year contract modification.

Valued at $43.56 million, the modification has been awarded by the US Air Force Installation Contracting Agency.
