Honeywell has received a $75m contract from the US Air Force for a joint government and industry effort.

As part of the contract, Honeywell will develop advanced technologies for the Versatile Affordable Advanced Turbine Engines (VAATE) III & Beyond programme with a goal to increase turbo-propulsion affordability.

The contractual work is expected to be completed in January 2023.

Raytheon has been awarded a $28m contract by the US Air Force to provide integration support of the advanced medium range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) until January 2020.

The platform integration support will be provided for the US Navy and US Air Force aircraft such as F-35, F-16 Block 30, F-15 Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System, F/A-18, AMRAAM Real Time Integration Simulator, and F-16 AESA.

American Systems Corporation has received an $85m, five-year contract to provide operational test and evaluation services for fourth and fifth-generation fighters.
