Deals this week: Airbus, Modern Technology Solutions, Orbital ATK


The Kuwait Ministry of Defence has placed a multi-million dollar-worth order for Airbus H225M Caracal utility helicopters.

Under the contract, Airbus Helicopters will supply 30 H225M Caracals for use by the Kuwait Air Force and the Kuwait National Guard for transportation, search-and-rescue, medevac and naval missions.

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. has secured a $28m contract from the National Guard Bureau in support of the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC).

"The 2D and 3D-based simulations will provide technicians and engineers with a realistic and customisable learning experience."

Under the contract, Modern Technology Solutions will provide a range of engineering, integration, and testing services for the AATC.

The deal has a base period of one year, followed by four option years.

Iraq has awarded a contractor logistics support (CLS) service contract, valued at $11m, to Orbital ATK.

Orbital will provide maintenance and support training for the Iraqi Air Force’s modernised AC-208 Combat Caravan aircraft fleet under the contract.

The contract also has options, which if executed, will increase the total contract value to $118m.

TRU Simulation + Training Inc. has been contracted by Affinity Flying Training Services to provide maintenance training courseware for the T-6C Texan II turboprop aircraft through December 2016.

The 2D and 3D-based simulations will provide technicians and engineers with a realistic and customisable learning experience.

The US Air Force has awarded a $7.9m-worth, 26-month mission planning contract to DCS Corp. in support of the KC-46A Pegasus military transport aircraft.

The DCS-made mission planning software solution will create a Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) mission planning environment for the KC-46A Pegasus.
