Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has received a contract to provide engineering and software system services to the US Air Force F-16 aircraft structural integrity programme (ASIP).
Under the contract, SAIC will continue to design, develop and enhance tools for the ASIP community to help them conduct day-to-day decision-making, long-term fleet planning and force management.

SAIC will also gather data on the structural integrity of aircraft from various sources, and combine it into a single software tool.
This will enable the air force to assess fleet health, forecast structural problems and manage costs related to F-16 structural issues.
Under the $19m contract, SAIC will perform the work at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma, and Hill AFB and Layton, Utah, US.
