The USAF has awarded Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) a $49m one-year follow-on contract for the AF distributed common ground system (DCGS) video processing capability (VPC) enterprise architecture.

SAIC will support the AF DCGS video processing capability by providing technical services for the system.

The capability will enable the system to process, view and exploit full-motion video provided by the unmanned aerial vehicle and sensor platforms operated by the intelligence community.

The DCGS is a globally networked intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance weapon system, which collects intelligence from the U-2, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1 Predator.

Nearly 700Gb of information flows through the system daily.

SAIC will primarily perform the work in Dayton, Ohio.
