The Brazilian Air Force (BAF) is in talks with Airbus Military to buy eight additional C-295 aircraft.

Airbus SAS head Domingo Urena-Raso told Valor Economico that the value of the purchase had not been disclosed.

The BAF already operates 12 C-295s and could buy the additional aircraft this year, according to Urena-Raso.

A multifunction aircraft, the C-295 can land on short and unprepared runways, and effectively transport standard payloads including cargo pallets, troops, airdrops and paratroops.
